In addition to running around and cleaning a lot on the 1st, I pulled out my prelit Christmas tree and, in a fashion that my father would approve, added extra lights. When I had people over the next day for a Christmas tree decorating party, several of them argued that there were enough lights on the tree that it didn't need any ornaments.
